Role Description:
Currently, we are in need of Spanish Interpreters for legal hearings, scheduled for June and following months. We need interpreters to be located in Allentown, Pittsburgh and Springfield.
Qualifications
- Strong interpreting skills, with the ability to convey meaning accurately and neutrally in both English and Spanish.
- Experience or training in specialized interpreting contexts such as Medical Interpretation and Legal Interpretation.
- High level of proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills in both languages.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong ethical standards, including adherence to confidentiality, impartiality, and professional conduct guidelines.
- Effective time management, reliability, and the ability to work on-site in Pennsylvania as scheduled.
- Preferred: formal interpreter training, certification (e.g., medical or community interpreting), or a degree in Languages, Translation/Interpretation, or a related field.
- Preferred: prior experience in healthcare, legal, social services, or government settings.
