Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst / Web Developer with a strong blend of business analysis and hands-on web development expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions while developing, customizing, and supporting WordPress-based applications.
This role requires a professional who can collaborate with business stakeholders, analyse business processes, document functional requirements, coordinate testing activities, and deliver scalable web solutions using modern web technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
- Conduct business process analysis, workflow design, and gap analysis to recommend effective solutions.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate business requirements, and manage defect resolution.
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Develop and enhance web applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Create, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL/MySQL queries and database objects.
- Deploy, configure, and support applications hosted on IIS, Apache, and Linux environments.
- Utilize Git for source control and Azure DevOps for version management and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting application issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Web Development, or a hybrid Business Analyst/Developer role.
- Strong experience gathering business requirements and performing business process and gap analysis.
- Hands-on experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflow diagrams, and functional documentation.
- Experience coordinating UAT, testing activities, and production deployments.
- Strong hands-on experience with WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL.
- Experience working with IIS, Apache, and Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience using Git and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Experience providing application support, production support, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Salesforce or other enterprise applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, third-party integrations, and CI/CD best practices.
