We are currently seeking skilled Marine Electricians for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.
Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.
Overview:
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of shipboard electrical systems on U.S. Navy vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Install and repair wiring, panels, and controls.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems with meters and analyzers
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- High school diploma/GED; completion of a formal trade training program (trade school, military training, apprenticeship, or equivalent) required.
- 4 years as an electrician with at least 2 years on Navy ships
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and shipyard electrical standards.
