Our Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed for candidates with previous sales and leadership experience who are ready to grow into salon management. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and real business experience, you'll develop the skills needed to successfully lead a salon and advance within our organization.

This is not a position with automatic promotions based on time. While your previous experience allows you to start at a higher pay rate, every advancement within the program is earned through demonstrated performance, leadership, and results.

Before leading a team, you'll first master the Spa Consultant role. We believe the strongest leaders are those who lead by example and understand every aspect of the business.

Leadership Development Path Phase 1: Spa Consultant (Approximately Weeks 1–4*)

Every Leadership Development candidate begins as a Spa Consultant. During this phase, you'll learn the foundation of our business while demonstrating the performance and leadership qualities necessary for advancement.

You will:

• Complete all company onboarding and training
• Learn salon operations and equipment procedures
• Master salon cleanliness and operational standards
• Become proficient with our POS system
• Learn Glo products, memberships, and services
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience
• Meet and consistently exceed sales expectations
• Follow all opening and closing procedures
• Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and professionalism

Before advancing, candidates must consistently demonstrate:

• Strong sales performance
• Operational excellence
• Accountability and reliability
• Mastery of the Spa Consultant role

Phase 2: Senior Spa Consultant (Approximately Weeks 4–12*)

As a Senior Spa Consultant, you'll continue driving results while beginning your leadership development.

Responsibilities include:

• Continue exceeding sales goals and performance metrics
• Mentor and support new Spa Consultants
• Assist with onboarding and training
• Learn salon reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Help ensure operational consistency
• Begin developing coaching and leadership skills
• Support opening and closing responsibilities

Phase 3: Assistant Manager (Performance-Based Advancement)

Once you've demonstrated success in the previous phases, you'll begin developing in the following areas:

Leadership & Team Development

• Coach and develop team members
• Lead by example through accountability and professionalism
• Foster a positive, high-performing team culture
• Communicate expectations clearly

Sales & Business Performance

• Drive salon sales and membership growth
• Analyze reports and key business metrics
• Identify opportunities to improve performance
• Coach team members to achieve sales goals

Operations

• Inventory management and ordering
• Scheduling and labor management
• Daily operational execution
• Facility and equipment maintenance
• Risk management and operational compliance

Talent Development

• Participate in interviewing and hiring
• Train and onboard new team members
• Develop future leaders
• Provide coaching and performance feedback

Qualifications Required

• Minimum 1 year of management or leadership experience
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Upon performance-based advancement to the Assistant Manager phase, your pay rate will increase to $18.50 per hour.

This program is designed for candidates who are serious about building a long-term career with Glo Tanning.

While previous sales and leadership experience qualifies you for a higher starting wage, all leadership promotions are earned—not guaranteed. Candidates must first master the Spa Consultant role, consistently meet sales expectations, and demonstrate leadership potential before advancing to the next stage of the program.
