Glitters & Grace is a luxury mobile beauty company based in New Lenox and Mokena, IL, bringing perfume bars, lip labs, skincare bars, and spa experiences into homes, venues, and event spaces across Chicagoland. We’re hiring Assistant Event Hosts for weekend and weekday events — starting now.
This is an excellent part‑time role or side hustle for someone who loves beauty, people, and polished presentation — with the opportunity to grow into larger roles as our company continues expanding.
What Makes This Role Special
You’ll be trained — really trained. We provide paid perfumery and beauty‑experience training, hands‑on instruction, and real skills in fragrance, formulation, and luxury hospitality. Most people never get access to this level of training without paying for it.
Assistant Hosts who shine move into Lead Host roles with higher pay, more responsibility, and more creative involvement.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside a Lead Host at private events including weddings, VIP events, adult and kids’ parties, bridal showers, ladies’ nights, corporate events and more
- Help set up and style our stations before guests arrive
- Guide guests through hands‑on activities like blending perfume, making lip color, and creating bath products
- Keep the space clean, restocked, and beautiful throughout the event
- Take care of guests — warm, upbeat, people‑facing work
- Help pack up, load out, and return supplies after the event
Who We’re Looking For
- 21 or older
- Warm, outgoing, and genuinely good with people — including kids
- Reliable and punctual; when you take a booking, we build the client’s day around you
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, beauty, or events is helpful
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
- Able to lift and carry supply boxes
- Available at least two weekends a month
- Comfortable following our setup standards and brand guidelines
- Able to pass a background check and provide two references
No event experience required. No degree required. If you’ve worked retail, waited tables, helped at a salon front desk, or hosted anything — we want to hear from you.

We are a luxury beauty brand — and yes, girly girls are absolutely welcome.
We wear full makeup, hair done, all‑black attire, and branded aprons. It’s part of the experience and part of the fun.
Driving & Logistics (Important!)
This role includes a lot of driving.
You must be comfortable traveling across Chicagoland for events.
You’ll regularly pick up supplies from:
- Our New Lenox warehouse
- Our Mokena studio
Most events are within 45–60 minutes of New Lenox — including downtown Chicago as well as Orland Park, Tinley Park, Frankfort, Naperville, Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Schaumburg, Barrington, the North Shore, and surrounding suburbs.
Occasional overnight travel to Milwaukee or Indianapolis is available for those interested (with additional pay), but not required.
Pay & Hours
- 1099 contract position
- $21.00 – $38.00 per hour
- Training events: $21/hr
- Assistant events: up to $38/hr depending on event type and size
- Guaranteed minimum hours per event
- Mileage reimbursed for events beyond 15 miles from your home
- Paid time mileage for restocking and supply runs
- You keep 100% of gratuity
- Expected hours: 3–20 per week (some weeks light, some heavy).
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
