Responsibilities
- Assist in creating, communicating, and enforcing corporate safety policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and participate in subcontractor Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings.
- Review subcontractor Site-Specific Safety Programs and Job Hazard Analyses prior to mobilization.
- Conduct routine site evaluations, identify safety deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the investigation of incidents using root cause analysis techniques and assist in developing preventive measures.
- Monitor and review subcontractor safety training documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Attend and review subcontractor Tool Box Talks to ensure safety awareness and proper documentation.
- Perform regular site audits and inspections to proactively identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement safety strategies and foster a culture of safety.
- Graduated from university with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- A major in the fields of Construction, Safety, or Engineering is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in Construction Health and Safety is required.
- Working knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing environments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly enthusiastic and interested in semiconductor manufacturing facility construction.
- Possess independent thinking, research, and operational abilities.
- Ability to innovate, think quickly, and align with key stakeholders to provide solutions.
- May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
- Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects.
- The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment, and parts.
- Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator.
- Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment.
- Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces.
