Job Title: Sr. System Engineer

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor, is seeking a Sr. Modem Software Engineer to support a new Restricted Ground Systems program in Scottsdale, AZ. This role will support the design, development, and integration of mission-critical Ground Systems for government customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support system design, integration, testing, and validation activities
- Perform requirements analysis, system decomposition, and interface definition
- Coordinate external interfaces and ICDs
- Support technical planning, risk analysis, and system performance evaluation
- Work within Agile development environments across cross-functional engineering teams
- Contribute to system security, modeling & simulation, and technical documentation efforts
- Identify and resolve complex system and software design challenges
- Support customer interactions and technical discussions
Required Qualifications:
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field with 8 years of experience, OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience
- Experience with modem software, ground systems, and systems integration
- Strong understanding of multi-level security / cross-domain environments
- Experience coordinating external interfaces and ICDs
- Agile development experience
- Ability to independently manage technical complexity and requirements decomposition
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- US Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
