Job Summary
Glint Dental Studio is expanding! We’re looking for a friendly, reliable team member to support front office operations in our brand-new, state-of-the-art office near Downtown Austin. We’re a boutique, non-corporate practice that values people—not quotas—and we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, professional, and fun environment for both patients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome patients and provide an elevated experience from arrival through checkout
- Answer and manage phone calls, texts, emails, and patient inquiries professionally
- Schedule and confirm new patient, hygiene, restorative, cosmetic, Invisalign, and treatment reservations
- Maintain a productive doctor and hygiene schedule and proactively fill openings
- Verify dental insurance benefits and accurately enter benefit information
- Understand PPO benefits, deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, waiting periods, and patient estimates
- Review treatment plans and confidently discuss estimated patient financial responsibility
- Collect patient payments, treatment deposits, and outstanding balances
- Accurately create invoices, post payments, and complete patient checkout
- Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims, EOBs, denials, and outstanding claims
- Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and continuing care
- Coordinate specialist referrals and necessary patient records
- Maintain accurate patient charts, financial notes, insurance information, and communication documentation
- Support new patients with forms, insurance information, parking instructions, and expectations prior to their visit
- Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front-office environment
- Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and management to keep the day running smoothly
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Previous dental front-office experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with dental terminology and common dental procedures
- Experience with dental insurance verification and claims
- Confident discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail-oriented and able to identify and correct errors before they affect the patient
- Comfortable learning and working within dental practice-management software
- Professional, dependable, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Able to provide exceptional hospitality while maintaining efficiency and accountability
