We are seeking to add a Housekeeping Supervisor to our team! The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facility. This position involves overseeing housekeeping staff, managing daily operations, and implementing best practices in cleaning procedures.
Responsibilities and Purpose
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the facility and its equipment are kept clean, sanitary, and safe. This role also involves collaborating effectively with administration and staff to support a high standard of care for residents.
- Responsible for environmental services/laundry budget as outlined by the Administrator. Order supplies to keep the home properly stocked with cleaning and other supplies. Maintain cost records.
- Coordinate environmental services with nursing service, dietary and activities department.
- Responsible for housekeeping /laundry weekly work scheduling for staff.
- Follow defined infection control procedures.
- Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties. Required to understand and follow OSHA guidelines as presented in the OSHA manual as it relates to housekeeping and laundry department.
Experience and Education
- Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, and supervision preferred.
- High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
