As a Residential Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of an adult residential home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and support for the individuals we serve. This hands-on leadership role blends administrative responsibilities with direct interaction, ensuring a warm, safe, and person‑centered environment.
Essential Functions
- Ensure homes meet all certification, safety, and quality standards
- Oversee budgets, supplies, and household needs
- Support residents’ health, medical care, and behavioral plans
- Manage documentation, reports, and purchasing
- Participate in on‑call rotation
- Attend trainings, meetings, and complete special assignments
- Work closely with families, QDDPs, BCBAs, and treatment teams
- Partner with internal departments to ensure smooth, effective operations
- Engage professionally with clients, families, staff, and visitors
- Supervise and support direct care staff
- Lead goal setting, problem solving, and performance management
- Assist with staff recruitment, retention, and training
- Promote a positive, mission‑aligned work environment
- High school diploma or GED (CNA preferred)
- Valid Alabama driver’s license and insurability
- Ability to pass DHR Child Abuse & Neglect Registry and ABI/FBI screenings
- CPR, First Aid, MCS, and MAC certification (or ability to earn within 30 days)
- Minimum age: 21
Experience
- At least 1 year of direct care experience required
- Supervisory or administrative experience in a residential or healthcare setting preferred
