PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment while also receiving, organizing, and storing food and supply deliveries. This position helps ensure the Food & Beverage Department remains clean, stocked, and operating efficiently.
REPORTING & ACCOUNTABILITY
The dishwasher reports to and is accountable to the Food & Beverage Manager, and also takes direction from the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. They may also take direction from the Food & Beverage Supervisors and Kitchen Lead to ensure adequate supplies are available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment and/or by hand.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized dishwashing area.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and remove trash and recycling.
- Receive food and supply deliveries from vendors.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality and damage.
- Rotate stock using First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
- Properly store food, beverages and supplies in refrigerators, freezers and storage areas.
- Restock kitchen supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and prep tasks as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to ensure efficient daily operations and provide support wherever needed.
- Demonstrate a willingness to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Adequate physical agility to perform the physical tasks required in this job description.
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch and bend.
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions.
WORK HOURS & DAYS
All Food & Beverage Department employees must be flexible to work variable hours and days, including weekends, evenings and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred.
- Reliable, dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to deal positively and respectfully with guests and other employees.
- Ability and willingness to follow direction, policies and procedures.
- Ability, knowledge and skill to use all restaurant equipment.
