CDL Class B Driver

Position Description:

Responsible for Class B CDL driving operations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for transporting guests up and down Iron Mountain when weather forces Gondola closure.
• Responsible for safely navigating Transfer Trail when these situations arise. Works closely with the Base Operations Manager and Manager on Duty to safely transport Guests.
• While vehicles are not in use, assist with park attractions as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the park.
• Deliver outstanding Guest Service, be knowledgeable about the park and its offerings.
• Regularly serves as an “Ambassador” during heavy Guest arrival periods.
• Assists Manager on Duty with ensuring a positive Guest experience by performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: bussing tables, cleaning tables, acting as Guest Services, answering Guest questions, proactively searching for and cleaning up trash, and conducting Guest surveys.
• Ensure the cleanliness standard is being met at all times throughout the entire park and on the buses.
• Trains on the Gondola Attendant and Gondola Operator positions; relieves for breaks and serves in position as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the operation.

Administration

• Ensures inspection paperwork is filled out and filed properly.

Safety

• Responsible for safely navigating Transfer Trail when alternate transportation is required.
• Inspect buses as required by the Department of Transportation and according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Communication

• Communicates with the Manager on Duty via radio on park happenings and location while driving.

Requirements

• Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to please guests and employees.
• Represent the company with a positive and professional image.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by the Base Manager or Base Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and conditions.
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to remain focused without direct supervision.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Position requires a valid Class B CDL license to operate buses, with passenger endorsement.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and random DOT tests throughout the year.
• Previous bus driving experience preferred.

Compensation:

Starting wage is $26/hour.

Within 2026 work the following hours and earn a scholarship! You must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester. Scholarship will be paid directly to your higher education school.

250 hours - $500 higher education scholarship

400 hours - $1,000 higher education scholarship

600 hours - $1,800 higher education scholarship
