- Assist students with daily lessons, projects and homework on an individual or small group basis in subject areas: reading language arts, English as a second language, remedial math, technology, and/or special education classes

PURPOSE: The Title I Educational Support Associate partners with school staff to provide targeted support for at-risk students identified by the school leadership team. This role enhances student learning, contributes to the overall educational process, and helps foster a positive and inclusive school community.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires the physical ability to work with students and safely monitor their activities in classrooms, learning centers, cafeterias, playgrounds, etc. which might include sitting on the floor, using gym equipment, climbing steps and ladders, pushing student wheelchairs, and lifting/transferring students.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-days (6 hours, 55 minutes per day) during the school year for 190 days.

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
BENEFITS INCLUDE:
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position is directed on a daily basis by a supervising teacher or staff member. Associates are evaluated annually by a building administrator with input from the supervising teacher or staff member.
