Duties
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety
- Feed, water, and monitor pets’ health status regularly, ensuring their needs are met promptly and compassionately
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques while demonstrating gentle pet handling skills
- Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and daily exercise routines to promote animal well-being
- Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to veterinary staff or supervisors
- Support outdoor work activities such as cleaning outdoor kennels, walking dogs, and maintaining the facility’s exterior spaces
- Perform heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large animals safely with team lifting techniques
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary settings, pet sitting, or animal care facilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dog training, animal behavior, and pet grooming techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle animals confidently while demonstrating excellent animal restraint and handling skills
- Comfortable performing physical tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Experience with kennel cleaning protocols and sanitization practices for pet care facility hygiene
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
