You will be helping the organization function well by transporting medical records, and materials to various stakeholders and departments in the hospital. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
- Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed
- Transport patients safely with or without special equipment
- Maintain and change oxygen and gauges as needed
- Transport specimens, schedules, and other items with a reasonable turnaround time Stock, clean, and upkeep equipment needed for patient transport
Qualifications/Experience
Education/Accredited Programs
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
Experience/Abilities
- No experience required
- 1-2 years of patient care and/or customer service experience is preferred
- Experience or training responding to emergency situations highly preferred
Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
- Must have or obtain Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent positive communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Able to learn & use computers and printers
- Able to recognize and select correct course of action in all segments of transportation
- Clerical skills Basic math and reading skills

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.25 to $22.50 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
