The Glens Falls School District is currently accepting applications for a Bus Monitor (hourly, part-time). Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting the school bus driver with maintaining order, safeguarding students and supervising the loading and unloading of buses. Additional responsibilities include:

• Inform and maintain the safe and orderly conduct of student passengers on a school bus while in transit
• Comfortable with the possibility of assisting, and tending to, students with disabilities or special needs as defined in the student's individualized education program (IEP)
• Comply with State, Federal, Agency, and NYS Education Department requirements
• Follow all safety rules, as well as transportation laws and regulations
• Ability to operate special equipment on the bus
• Assist school bus driver as needed, as well as other responsibilities as assigned

HS Diploma or GED or 2 years' experience working with youth in a school environment. NYS Fingerprint Clearance is required.
