What you’ll be doing:
You will assist in the operation of Glenridge Terrace Computer Learning Center (CLC). You will coordinate the development and implementation of all programs and activities. You will work with children of all ages as well as adults, and assist in creating a positive environment for residents, guests, and staff.
How you’ll do it:
- Champion PRS culture by living our Mission, Vision, and Core Values; greet and assist all Learning Center users while maintaining respectful, professional interactions with residents, tenants, and visitors.
- Coordinate and implement Learning Center programs, curriculum, activities, and special events; create and distribute bulletins, newsletters, notices, and regular correspondence for Learning Center and Glenridge Terrace residents.
- Maintain CLC files and records, assist users with computer projects, tutor Homework Club participants, and lead workshops, activities, and programs.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, support volunteer recruitment, uphold HUD guidelines, and maintain high-quality practice when working with residents, applicants, vendors, staff, and agencies.
- Provide operational support by assisting with phones, visitors, monthly meetings, banking deposits, emergency response, and Housing Manager needs, performing additional duties as assigned.
Pay: $19.75 - $20.25 / hr DOE
About you:
- Basic working knowledge of computers.
- Good organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of local area service and educational organizations.
- Knowledge of basic curriculum and activity planning.
- Ability to read, speak and write and follow oral and written directions.
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification, trained and certified within 15 months of hire, or actively pursuing the certification. If you are not COS certified within 15 months, PRS and the communities reserve the right to end employment unless the quality of work displayed justifies continued education and training toward the certification.
