Glenna Stone Interiors is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to support the development and execution of high-end residential and boutique commercial design projects. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA, and relocation will be required for candidates outside the area. We are looking for a design professional with 4 years of experience who is eager to grow creatively within a collaborative, detail-oriented studio.

The ideal candidate is passionate about sophisticated, timeless design; highly skilled in FF&E; technically strong in documentation; and confident in presenting ideas both visually and verbally. Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage project workflows through all phases of design are essential.

The Interior Designer will work closely with senior team members to translate concepts into fully developed design solutions, produce drawings and specifications, coordinate with vendors and contractors, support client presentations, and contribute to a positive, forward-thinking team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Purchase order coordination, manage expediting and follow up
  • Supports FF&E research
  • Attend client meetings, develop client presentations including presentation drawings and room boards
  • Assist in preparing materials for design presentations. Support senior designer during presentations.
  • Contribute to a team approach through the spirit of collaboration.
  • Develop as-is drawings, furniture and lighting plans, and details
  • Develop project budgets
  • Project specifications
  • CAD drawings and construction documentation
  • Organize and prioritize own work efforts as well as assist with organizing team members, tasks and meetings.

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end residential design environment
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop or Elements, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Studio interior design software a plus
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to travel occasionally
  • Must be able to handle loads up to 10lbs., sometimes up to 20lbs
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Work in this position requires being inside most of the time, in an office-setting
  • Must be able to work at offsite locations
