Job Summary
Key Responsibilities: Deliver structured wellness and life skills curriculum in group or classroom settings Conduct brief individual wellness check-ins and provide short-term support sessions Support behavioral health screenings and connect students to appropriate services Facilitate small groups focused on emotional well-being and stress management Coordinate care and communicate with staff, families, and community partners Provide referrals for crisis support using standardized protocols Document services and participate in meetings with students, staff, and families Support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategies Assist with parent and community engagement and, if needed, conduct home visits
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Certification or eligibility to be certified as a Certified Wellness Coach I through the CA Dept. of Health Care Access and Information (must obtain or register within 90 days of hire) https://cawellnesscoach.org/#cwc-requirements Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent workforce experience as defined by HCAI Strong communication skills and ability to engage youth with empathy and cultural humility Knowledge of ethical practices, wellness promotion, and behavioral health principles CA Driver’s License required
