Role Description The Warehouse Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL, supporting the daily operations of our distribution center. This position is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment, as well as receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming deliveries. The Warehouse Associate will operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to move and store materials safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include verifying shipment accuracy, labeling and staging orders, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse, and following all safety procedures. The role works closely with the warehouse and sales teams to support fast response times and same-day shipping goals.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in shipping & receiving, including accurately checking, documenting, and staging inbound and outbound orders.
- Experience with packing orders securely and efficiently to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery.
- Ability to safely unload trucks and handle materials, including manual lifting within reasonable weight limits.
- Basic equipment operation skills, such as forklift operation (preferred or willingness to become certified) and pallet jack use.
- Attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Reliable attendance, strong time management, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Comfort with standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods, in line with standard warehouse duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience is a plus.
