Glenmoor Country Club is a premier private club located in beautiful Cherry Hills Village, just minutes from Belleview and I-25. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This role is ideal for a strong kitchen leader who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about developing others while maintaining high culinary standards.
This position serves as the first assistant to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef and plays a key role in overseeing daily kitchen operations across all dining outlets, banquets, and special events.
During our clubhouse renovation, this role will help lead operations out of a mobile kitchen trailer, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and a strong, team-first approach in a dynamic environment.
This role is intended to support long-term kitchen leadership, with potential for continued year-round employment based on business needs and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise and support kitchen staff by assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
- Lead daily food production across all outlets and events, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely execution
- Work alongside the culinary team during service to support operations and maintain standards
- Enforce and maintain strict sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Ensure all recipes, portions, and presentation standards are consistently followed
- Monitor kitchen performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and workflow
- Assist with inventory, purchasing, and cost control to support financial goals and minimize waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure a seamless and high-quality member experience
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper use, care, and ongoing maintenance
- Support menu execution and continuous improvement of food quality and consistency

Schedule Expectations
This position is expected to work approximately 50 hours per week based on business needs. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of line cook experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team
- Comprehensive understanding of food quality, presentation, consistency, and sanitation standards
- Knowledge of food cost management, purchasing, inventory, and labor management
- Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and equipment use
- Ability to expedite service and step into any role in the kitchen as needed
Glenmoor Country Club operates in a non-tipping environment. Team members are compensated through hourly wages rather than gratuities.
