Designation: Senior Director & Lead - Global Medical Affairs - Respiratory

Reporting: Jointly to Global Head of Medical Affairs & Business Head, North America
The Medical Affairs Lead – Global Respiratory shall be responsible to provide a high level of medical expertise in the Respiratory therapeutic area with focus on allergic rhinitis, airway diseases (COPD, Asthma) from pre-registration stage to commercialization of the innovative products at global level.
The role holder shall drive medical strategies for launch of Ryaltris® in identified markets as well as effectively manage life cycle of Ryaltris (® in markets where it is already marketed). The role holder shall also closely work with external partners (pharma companies) marketing Ryaltris® in their geographies.
In addition to primarily working as Global Medical Affairs Lead for Respiratory, role holder will also support the medical affairs function for USA business.
The role holder should be trained chest physician / pulmonologist / paediatrics pulmonologist with experience of working in medical affairs or clinical development function of Bio/Pharmaceutical companies at global level or emerging markets and should be able to build and lead the team of medical affairs professionals and MSLs (Medical Science Liaisons) across markets.
Educational Knowledge
•MD or equivalent degree in internal medicine or paediatrics, with fellowship in pulmonology (general) or pulmonology & critical care medicine (combined)
Experience
•At least 10 to 12 years’ experience of working in medical affairs or clinical development function of pharmaceutical /biopharmaceutical companies is required.
•Experience of medical affairs activities in respiratory therapy and managing innovative product launches in global/emerging markets is required.
