Technical Graphic Designer

Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. is a boutique agency located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley. Our goal is to connect local employers with local talent. We are currently seeking a Graphic Artist for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Pomona.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Create and update product labels, packaging, catalogs, and business forms following FDA and ISO requirements.
• Operate digital printers, including Canon C810 and Zebra ZT411, to produce production materials.
• Prepare print-ready artwork for outside vendors and ensure all graphics are accurate and consistent.
• Take and edit product photos, including documentation of damaged goods or non-conformities.
• Work closely with the Technical Director and other departments (Production, QA, QC, RA) to complete projects.
• Provide design files for in-house screen and pad printing.
• Update and maintain the company website and digital files.
• Help source and evaluate printing and label vendors.
• Assist with document control, keeping all artwork and instructions up to date and properly filed.
• Scan, organize, and archive production documents on schedule.

·         Other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

·         College degree in Graphic Arts or equivalent work experience.

·         High School Diploma required.

·         3-5 years of experience in a graphic design or office environment, ideally in manufacturing.

·         Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and barcode/label printing software.

·         Experience managing large amounts of artwork and document revisions.

·         Photography and photo-editing experience.

·         Excellent English communication skills for editing and proofing.

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine office duties.

·         Good vision (corrected acceptable) for reviewing artwork and layouts.

·         No severe allergies or chemical sensitivities due to the work environment.

·         Completion of company training program required after hire.

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Schedule:  Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay Rate: $24 – $26/hour (Depending on experience)
