Job Summary
The Special Education Mentor Teacher plays a critical role in developing future Education Specialists through the Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) - Loyola Marymount University (LMU) Teacher Residency Program. Mentor teachers provide structured coaching, modeling, and supervision to resident teachers while supporting high-quality instructional practices, inclusive services, and compliance with special education standards. Resident teachers are paired with a mentor teacher and participate in clinical practice within the mentor teacher's classroom three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday).
