Examples of Duties
- Provides support in managing both the administrative and educational aspects of the program.
- Provides operational and administrative support for the EMS program as needed, including but not limited to training assistance, documentation review, compliance monitoring, and other related duties as assigned.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program, curriculum, courses, and students in compliance with Local EMS (EMS) Agency (LEMSA), state licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Maintains accurate records of student attendance and performance;
- Maintains various records and databases according to program needs, in compliance with Local EMS (EMS) Agency (LEMSA), state licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and submits records according to policy and state requirements.
- Assists with the implementation of policies and procedures related to the instructional area in support with EMS Faculty and college administration.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with community, business, and industry representatives.
- Serves as a liaison between college programs and clinical agencies as appropriate.
- Supports clinical site activities as appropriate.
- Participates in the recruitment of students and promotion of college programs.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid State of California license to practice medicine. (Must be in good standing with the Medical Board of California (MBC) or Osteopathic Medical Board of California (OMBC).)
Two (2) years of prehospital care experience in the last five (5) years.
