We are seeking an Heavy Wrecker Operator to join our team at Glen's Towing & Road Service. Located in Raleigh County, this role is vital for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our towing equipment. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of providing reliable roadside assistance while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate towing equipment including flatbed trucks and tow trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring minimal damage during the process.
- Provide excellent customer service during roadside assistance calls.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on towing equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Drive vehicles to designated locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist in resolving conflicts or issues that may arise during service calls.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional Operator or similar role in the towing industry.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL required.
- Familiarity with automotive repair and diagnostics is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of towing equipment including RGN trailers landolls and flatbeds.
