Job Summary

Chef will oversee kitchen operations, create an innovative menu, and prepare or coordinate the

preparation of food ordered by patrons.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for running the kitchen similar to that in a big home.
• Cooks meals, taking into consideration dietary likes and requirements of the residents.
• Oversees housekeepers and caregivers serving of food.
• Oversee washing dishes.
• Keeps kitchen clean and sanitary.
• Keeps dining room clean and sanitary.
• Orders food.
• Minimum menu design because if preset, dietician approved, cycle menus.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Six months of related experience.
• Able to pass a physical exam and a criminal record review.
• Current training in Basic First Aid and CPR
• Current Food Handlers Card
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and preparing and cooking food.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or
  
  

cold.

• Extremely creative.

• To keep cookware, serving ware, kitchen, and dining room clean and sanitary.
• Delegates to Housekeepers and Caregivers, authority:
• To consider resident tastes and medical conditions in serving food as fast as possible.
• Delegates to Dietary Aide
• To keep the dining room kitchen clean and organized.
• SUPERVISION RECEIVED & FROM WHOM
• Delegated by the Administrator, authority:
