Job Summary:
As an Activity Assistant, you will develop and lead engaging programs that promote socialization, physical wellness, and personal growth for residents in our Assisted Living Facility. Your work will make a meaningful impact by enhancing the daily lives of our residents and fostering a sense of community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Activity Programming:
- Organize and lead activities that encourage social interaction, skill-building, and leisure. Examples include:
- Socialization: Group discussions, current events, arts & crafts, bingo, and music sessions.
- Daily Living Skills: Building walks, snacks, and meal outings.
- Physical Wellness: Games, dancing, exercise, and coordination activities.
- Leisure Time: Gardening, card games, bowling, and movie matinees.
- Education: Safety lectures, bible study, and travel presentations.
- Organize and lead activities that encourage social interaction, skill-building, and leisure. Examples include:
- Community Engagement:
- Facilitate resident participation in local events, worship services, concerts, and community group activities.
- Resident Choice:
- Empower residents to explore and engage in activities of their choice.
- Administrative Support:
- Serve as a backup to the receptionist when needed, ensuring seamless operations.
What We Require:
- Compassion, creativity, and dedication to enriching the lives of seniors.
- Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Negative TB Test and Health Screening Clearance.
Available Shifts:
- AM Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Tuesday to Saturday)
