Position Summary: The Retail Supervisor (RS) assists the Salon and Retail Manager in overseeing and nurturing the experience of all Glen Ivy guests from the initial greeting to the warm farewell. The RS role is to assist in managing sales, staff, inventory, and operational and merchandising functions of the Spa Lifestyle Store to attain maximum profitability, productivity, and superb guest service. The RS will ensure the retail outlets throughout the resort are well stocked and beautifully merchandised. This position also assists in making purchasing decisions and completing purchases in order to maximize return. The Retail Supervisor will assist in employee oversight of the Retail Sales Associates. The RS assists in guiding the team into a vibrant, accountable group with a high sense of urgency and guest focused sensibility by leading the team with hands-on approach and high-visibility. Results Expected: The expected results of this position are to provide effective and efficient management of staff, inventory, guest service and employee relations. To complete and follow through on all items assigned. Guest service and Guest satisfaction is a priority to the team, more so than the sale. Providing excellent guest service ensures that we retain guests for the future and inevitably promotes the business and the Spa Lifestyle Store. “The sale” becomes a natural second and guests will feel connected to and partial to give us their business.
Position Qualification Requirements:
License(s): First Aid and CPR certified within the first year
Education/Training: High School Diploma required, some college appreciated, and supervisory experience strongly preferred. Education in Sales and Merchandising or Retail Management, a plus.
Experience:
- 1-2 years supervisory/management strongly preferred
- 2-3 years retail experience preferred
- 1-2 years hospitality experience preferred
- Merchandising experience, a plus
- Resort/Spa experience, a plus
- Experience with POS software, a plus

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in the Spa Lifestyle Store guiding and training staff
- Sales Goals – Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual are clear and managed appropriately
- Assist in supervising and motivating the team to meet/exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
- Assist the Salon and Retail Manager to oversee product control, manage stock levels, and purchasing of all retail inventory with monthly cycle counts and quarterly full retail inventories
- Assist the Salon and Retail Manager with merchandising in the Spa Lifestyle Store, Bath House, GOCO Café and service buildings
- Work with Warehouse and Purchasing Coordinator to ensure all products are ordered, received, properly priced/coded and have a sensor prior to reaching the sales floor
- Assist with delivering routine coaching, performance improvement plan counseling’s and corrective actions to employees as needed
- The RS will approve/deny employee time off based on business needs in the absence of the Salon and Retail Manager and communicate with staff
- The RS will create the schedule for the Retail Associates a minimum of two weeks in advance
- Area walks for stock and cleanliness
