Reporting to the Senior Manager, Design Studios and Business Development, the Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for influencing and organizing the growth of Glen-Gery Building products by collaborating with customers, salespeople, and distributors. This person will be responsible for lead generation, sample requests, design studio events, as well as managing business development visits and appointments, providing technical and consultative support to clients, architects, and distributors. The specialist will also coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment with company strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and assist executives, clients, architects, and walk-ins with professionalism.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with BDM’s, distributor reps, and distributors.
- Direct sales staff in establishing customers, identifying new leads to increase sales, maintaining overall customer satisfaction and evaluating achievement of sales objectives
- Generate and qualify leads; drive new opportunities to meet sales targets for Design Studio and BDM teams.
- Drive new opportunities through lead qualification and follow-up
- Generate opportunities to drive sales and achieve targets
- Implement and communicate sales strategies aligned with business goals.
- Track job intelligence and specifications through Salesforce.
- Assist with job protection requests and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Report on competitor activities within market area of responsibility and beyond if applicable
- Report on progress of selling goals and objectives as well as personal accomplishments
- Provide product support, technical information, and design consultations.
- Confirm and schedule design studio appointments and coordinate events
- Attend networking events to develop new business relationships
- Confirm and schedule design studio appointments through shared calendars.
- Partner with the location/Events Manager to manage events and conferences, as well as address potential problems that might arise
- Attend all events (where appropriate) to create and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Serve as the liaison for all facilities maintenance projects for the location, including troubleshooting and performing minor repairs as needed.
- Provide operational support in the NYC design studio, handling customer requests and inquiries.
- Support onboarding and training for new reps and distribution partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in business/marketing, architectural, interior design, engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of building product materials, property, real-estate and construction industry preferred
- 3-5 years previous experience in sales/customer service preferred but not essential.
- Ability to travel
