Independent Contractor - Appliance Delivery & Installation

Glen Ellyn Storage, a large moving and delivery company since 1933, is seeking experienced appliance delivery & installation independent contractors in the St. Louis market. Glen Ellyn Storage is currently in several markets including, Chicago, Madison, Indianapolis, Des Moines, and St. Louis.

We are seeking independent appliance delivery installation contractors who want to earn $170,000-$270,000 annually! (1099’d) The ideal contractor will possess a strong knowledge of appliance installations, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail, customer service and route management with the ability to use a mobile app for delivery documentation.

Contracting Requirements:

· Owner/Operator with 24’/26’ Straight Truck (w/Liftgate)

· 2 Person Team (Driver and Helper)

· Driver’s must be at least 21 years of age/Helpers must be at least 18 years of age

· Class C Commercial Driver’s License for Van Operator

· Driver must pass MVR, Background Check, DOT Physical and Drug Screen

· Helper must pass Background Check

· Appliance Delivery Experience and Product Knowledge – Company will provide training of Account specific requirements

· Knowledge of Local Delivery Area

· Must be able to obtain Auto & General Liability insurance in addition to Workman’s Compensation coverage meeting the Company’s minimum limits and be able to provide a COI based on these requirements to the Company.

· Contractors with their own Operating Authority will receive priority consideration
