We are hiring a reliable, energetic ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT at Glen Eagle Healthcare & Rehab in Abbeville, GA.
This position includes:
Working with the Activities Director to plan, coordinate and implement the calendar of recreational and social activities for residents.
Assist in the promotion of physical and mental stimulation of the residents through various activities.
Organize special events, outings, and parties that are relevant to the residents' interests.
Assist and encourage residents to engage in activities, respecting their individual preferences and capabilities.
Interact with residents, families, and staff to gather feedback on the activities and make necessary improvements.
Maintaining accurate records of residents' participation in activities and sue this date to improve the program.
Ensure safety and comfort of residents during activities.
Collaborate with other staff members such as nurses and therapists to ensure holistic care for residents.
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Desired Experience and Education:
Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office required.
One or more (1 ) year of activities experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
One or more (1 ) year of work in a skilled nursing facility, LTC, hospice or LTAC preferred.
CNA Certification helpful but not required.
