What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at Glen Dale Child Development Center?
The mission of Glen Dale CDC is to foster the child’s spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth through a variety of learning experiences.
We are looking to add a nurturing, energetic, and dedicated teacher to our team. This individual must be able to collaborate with our team members to create a safe and caring classroom environment. Must have flexible availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
Teacher responsibilities:
· Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
· Develop positive relationships with parents by knowing their names and greeting upon arrival and departure.
· To create and follow age-appropriate weekly lesson plans that provide a balance of child initiated and teacher directed activities.
· Know the developmental skills, abilities, special needs, personality traits, moods, and interests of each child.
· To complete individual assessments and goals for each child and meet with parents to share their child’s progress.
· Ensure that all diapering toileting, feeding and sleeping needs of each child are met.
Requirements:
· Must be 18 years of age
· Must be able to pass a background check
· CDA and previous childcare experience preferred but not required
· Be willing to earn a CDA (employer covers the cost)
