Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club is seeking an energetic, creative individual who loves working with youth to lead engaging arts and crafts experiences. From painting and sculpture to mixed media and collaborative projects, you’ll help children discover their creativity while building confidence, imagination, and artistic skills.
Ideal for college students pursuing Fine Arts, Art Education, Graphic Design, Education, or related fields. Experienced artists and educators are also encouraged to apply.

Pay: Starting at $20-$25/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Days & Hours Required: (exact time may vary slightly)
- Monday - Friday, 2:45-6:30pm, September - June
- Monday - Friday, 9:00am-3:30pm, Summer
Responsibilities:
- Engage kids positively; encourage creative thinking, hands-on projects.
- Promote and stimulate interest and participation in art.
- Coordinate special art exhibition or display for parents/community members.
- Create opportunities for members to showcase artwork in the community (i.e. Local Library, Arts Council).
- Responsible for the inventory, ordering, care, and maintenance of all related supplies and equipment.
- Interact with parents and keep open lines of communication to better understand and manage the children.
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Love, Innovation, creativity, and enthusiasm for young kids.
- Energetic, motivated self-starter and a team player.
- Excellent planning, organization, communication, and time management skills
- Familiar with Sketching, Painting, & Mixed Media materials such as pencil, charcoal, Acrylic Paint, Brushes, Color Marker, Crayon, Watercolor, and Craft Paper.
- Previous Fine Arts or teaching experience with kids 6 - 15 years of age.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, weekdays.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred, not required.
- Ability to provide an Art portfolio, or lesson plans.
Salary : $20 - $25
