Description:
The Aviation Editor ("AE") is responsible for completing aviation responsibilities, such as editing book editions, assisting with online course creation, blog writing, curricular writing and special projects. Candidates must be deadline driven and detail oriented and have a CFI certificate.
This position requires multi-tasking as well as collaborating in a team environment. There are some customer service duties, such as conversing online with clients and working with flight schools and universities who use or are considering using Gleim Aviation products. There may be some travel to air shows from time to time. This role will help plan for and meet deadlines while also meeting or exceeding FAA requirements and customer expectations.
The AE will also research aviation topics upon request and report back with suggestions for revisions, new products, and/or competitiveness in the aviation training market.
Requirements:
- Full time
- FAA CFI certificate (MEI and Gold Seal preferred)
- No FAA accident or enforcement history
- Must have working knowledge of current aviation regulations
- Technical writing experience and expertise a plus as well as social media/marketing knowledge
- Work on-site in our Gainesville, Florida office
