This position will be the Warehouse& Systems Maintenance Leader who will ensure all aspects of Gleaners? facilities and related systems are fully operational, efficient and well-maintained, meeting all environmental and safety codes and requirements.This position requires previous experience with ammonia refrigeration and hands on facility maintenance in a Food warehouse setting. To be considered for this position, please forward your resume and cover letter to HR gcfb.org.What you?ll doPerform routine inspections and oversee/coordinate maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems.Troubleshoot and oversee/coordinate repair of mechanical and electrical system issues.Monitor system performance to maintain optimal temperature zones for food safety and storage.Maintain and ensure building security systems are fully operational including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarms.Inspect and oversee fire suppression systems service including sprinklers, extinguishers, and alarms in accordance with all local ordinances.Oversee fuel island operations including pump maintenance, leak detection, and documentation to ensure full compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.Monitor and manage humidity levels in refrigerated and ambient areas to prevent condensation.Implement solutions such as air curtain maintenance, insulation upgrades, and airflow optimization.Collaborate with warehouse teams to identify and address condensation risks that could impact food safety or facility integrityCoordinate and manage facility improvement projects to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM, and food safety regulations.Respond to emergencies including ammonia leaks, fire alarms, and security breaches.QualificationsMinimum technical certification or associates degree required; bachelor?s degree preferredMinimum of three to five years? experience in ammonia refrigeration and facility maintenance requiredRETA certification or equivalent preferredThis is an abbreviated job description.
