Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Longwood Florida.
The ideal candidate will have a background as a human resources assistant along with knowledge of the insurance industry, enabling them to effectively support employee benefits, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while providing exceptional support to employees and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers regarding benefits and eligibility.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment regulations.
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, and insurance coverage.
- Help coordinate employee training
- Perform other administrative and HR-related duties as assigned.
- Would require visiting various Florida work sites of GLE.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources or administrative experience.
- Previous experience in the insurance industry or working with employee benefits strongly preferred.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast past environment.
- Knowledge of employee benefits, insurance terminology, and HR compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with benefits administration and insurance enrollment.
Must be able to pass background check and physical/drug screening
