Job Title: Bellman/Valet

Position Summary
The Bellman/Valet plays a key role in creating a positive first and last impression for all guests of the hotel. This position is responsible for warmly greeting guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage, parking and retrieving guest vehicles, providing directions and information about the hotel and local area, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience through attentive, professional service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner upon arrival and departure.
Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles and ensure safe handling and storage of all guest belongings.
Provide valet parking service by safely operating, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles in designated areas.
Maintain an organized and efficient flow of vehicles in the hotel’s drive and valet area.
Offer information and assistance regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, transportation options, and directions.
Escort guests to their rooms as needed and explain features of the room and hotel facilities.
Deliver messages, packages, and other items to guest rooms or meeting spaces as requested.
Maintain cleanliness of the front drive, bell stand, and storage areas.
Record and tag luggage for proper storage and retrieval.
Coordinate with Front Desk, Concierge, and Security to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
Adhere to all safety and security procedures, including proper key control and vehicle handling.
Provide exemplary guest service in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
Report any guest complaints, vehicle damage, or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred; customer service or valet experience a plus.
Licenses: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Ability to lift, carry, and push luggage weighing up to 75 lbs.
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely.
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions while assisting guests and parking vehicles.
Must be able to stand and work outdoors for extended periods of time.
Work Environment
This position operates in an outdoor and indoor hotel setting. The Bellman/Valet interacts frequently with guests, management, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth arrival and departure experiences.
