Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Respiratory Therapist in Beckley, WV. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical respiratory care in a dynamic environment. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in treating patients across all age groups, from infants to the elderly.
Orientation is biweekly on Wednesdays. Candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for this travel position. All travelers must possess the required certifications prior to starting. The client reserves the right to require additional certifications not listed. Please refer to the LPNT checklist for the most up-to-date requirements.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing care to a diverse patient population, treating over 50,000 patients in the emergency room annually.
- Working independently in a critical access hospital setting.
- Demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Utilizing your experience in emergency and critical care settings.
Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS. A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred. The position requires the flexibility to work weekends as needed and to be on call as required.
Dress code is scrubs of any color, with casual wear being unacceptable. This facility is accredited by the Joint Commission, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.
