We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist for a full-time, 26-week contract in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in Topeka, KS. This position offers a structured schedule with the potential for 10-hour days if preferred. The Occupational Therapist will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a patient load of 7-8 patients per shift.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting patient evaluations and care, including chart reviews and scheduling.
  
• Participating in daily huddles and collaborating with Physical Therapists as needed.
  
• Providing care for a diverse patient population, including general medicine, neuro, ortho, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, surgical, and ICU patients.
  
• Managing late joints on a rotational basis, with the last patient seen by 5:00 PM.
  

Requirements for this role include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  
• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license from KSBHA; NBCOT certification preferred.
  
• BLS certification from AHA, to be obtained within the first 90 days if not already held.
  
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting, including patient transfers with lines and drains.
  
• Epic experience is preferred but not required.
  

This facility is recognized as an award-winning Level II Trauma Center, ensuring a high standard of patient care. Please note that first-time travelers are not eligible for this position. Compliance documentation must be submitted by 10/08/2026 to meet the start date.
