Job Description & Requirements
- Specialty: Correctional
- Discipline: RN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
Position Details
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks after offer
- Every Other Weekend (EOW): As needed
- Holiday Requirement: Must be able to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- RN: Minimum 3 months of correctional nursing experience required
- LPN- corrections exp prefer but not required
- Active RN or LPN license in California (or compact state license if applicable)
- Ability to work in a secure, fast-paced correctional environment
- Must meet strict background check requirements
- Provide nursing care and triage to inmates following correctional healthcare protocols
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform patient assessments
- Collaborate with correctional and medical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies while maintaining security awareness
