ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

- Department Support (40%)
• Assist with device provisioning and lifecycle tasks (staging, imaging, enrollment, tagging, upgrading) following standard build procedures.
• Maintain accurate asset records (serials, ownership, location, warranty dates) in the inventory system.
• Assist with the organizing of IT assets in storage spaces.
• Support patching and compliance efforts by checking device status, compiling exception lists, and validating remediation.
• Help package or deploy approved software (where applicable) and verify installations against baselines.
• Create, update, and organize IT documentation (standard operating procedures, checklists, diagrams) as assigned.
• Support internal IT projects with task tracking, and testing in non-production environments.
• Follow change management and access control policies; document work performed and outcomes. - Operations & Infrastructure Support (Non-End-User) (30%)
• Assist with endpoint management tasks (enrollment checks, device group assignments) under supervision.
• Help maintain standard images/configurations and update build documentation when processes change.
• Support lab/staging area operations (cable management, labeling, equipment organization) for IT-owned assets.
• Perform basic network/infrastructure verification steps (connectivity tests, port labeling, rack documentation) as assigned.
• Assist with routine maintenance for network closets/rooms.
• Coordinate warranty/RMA logistics and track repair/return status for IT assets. - Documentation, Compliance & Process (20%)
• Keep asset and configuration records current in the appropriate systems.
• Use templates and naming conventions to keep documentation consistent and easy to find. - Projects & Learning Opportunities (10%)
• Participate in internal projects (IT Asset rollouts, documentation refresh) with defined deliverables.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Licensure: N/A
- Experience: Basic understanding of IT fundamentals, including operating systems (Windows and/or macOS), hardware components and device lifecycle concepts, networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with endpoint or systems concepts such as imaging, patching, configuration, or compliance.
- Skills: Ability to follow documented procedures, checklists, and security policies with attention to detail. Strong written communication skills for documentation and internal status updates. Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic data organization (Excel, CSV files, simple reports).
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to ask questions or escalate. Professional behavior with a strong focus on confidentiality and security best practices.
- Physical Effort: Must be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire workday. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and or twist while holding up to 50 lbs. often.
- Hours of Work: Temporary, limited to a total of 500 hours of work, Flexible and varied. Hybrid schedule is not available for this position.
- Travel: May require limited travel within service area utilizing a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is offered based on GLBHC policy.
