GSI is an open shop commercial glazing contractor in Kent, Ohio with over 50 years in the industry. We manufacture and install curtain wall, storefront, entrances, and custom architectural glazing — using state-of-the-art automated manufacturing equipment in our own shop — on retail, school, office, and healthcare projects throughout Northeast Ohio. We're growing, and we're looking for skilled glaziers who take pride in quality craftsmanship and safety.

What you'll do

• Measure, cut, and install glass for storefronts, curtain wall, windows, doors, and skylights
• Set insulated units, tempered, laminated, and mirror using suction cups, glass carts, and lifting equipment
• Fabricate and assemble aluminum frames, sashes, and glazing components; install entrance doors and hardware
• Layout and anchor framing, set sill flashing, seal and caulk perimeters
• Perform repairs and replacements on existing glazing systems, including weatherproofing and sealing
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and work orders
• Operate tools and equipment safely — glass cutters, power tools, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
• Work with general contractors and team members to resolve on-site challenges
• Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and company standards
• Keep a clean and organized work area

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a glazier or in a related construction trade
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in glazing preferred
• Proficiency handling tempered, laminated, and insulated glass
• Working knowledge of glazing materials, sealants, and installation methods
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• OSHA 10, aerial lift certification, or glazing certification a plus
