Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop IT development teams, including performance management, career development, and accountability.
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement across Enterprise Solutions teams.
- Serve as a primary escalation point for delivery, priority, and support issues, maintaining composure and clarity during high pressure situations.
- Recruit, select, onboard, and retain top talent; address performance issues as needed.
- Own intake, prioritization, and delivery governance for Enterprise Solutions initiatives across BI, Power Apps, automation, and data integration.
- Balance competing business demands with team capacity, production support needs, and delivery commitments.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with business stakeholders, setting clear expectations around scope, priority, and timelines.
- Ensure continued momentum on in‑flight and planned work while minimizing disruption to the business.
- Oversee development and delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise technology solutions.
- Drive adoption and delivery decisions for enterprise platforms in partnership with business and IT leadership.
- Stay current with Power Platform capabilities and modern enterprise technology trends.
- Work with senior leadership to align technology architecture strategies with organizational goals.
- Lead and participate in vendor evaluations, architecture reviews, and contract negotiations to ensure cost effective and sustainable solutions.
- Promote and apply process improvement methodologies to optimize internal systems and delivery practices.
- Leverage Agile methodologies to manage work intake, prioritization, and delivery cadence.
- Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps (DevBoards) or equivalent platforms for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery transparency.
- Partner with technical leads to ensure development standards, peer reviews, and best practices are consistently applied.
- Prior experience as a people manager of IT development teams, with responsibility for delivery, performance management, and team development.
- Experience supporting or delivering solutions in one or more of the following areas:
- Demonstrated ability to lead calmly and effectively in environments with competing priorities, urgent requests, and production support demands.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and modern development management practices.
- Several years of experience as a functional or team level IT manager, with readiness to step into a broader Director level leadership role.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision making skills.
- Perform other work related job duties as assigned.
