Job Summary: The inside sales representative/ Customer Service Rep. will have a demonstrated history of excelling in an inside-sales or customer service environment where levels of multi-tasking skills are required; effective intra-departmental interaction is critical; and superior customer, vendor, and internal company relationship building abilities are needed. The incumbent will receive requests for quotations, orders and lead times from customers. Make quotations/estimates on standard/custom items, write and enter orders and relays pertinent order information to customer. Customer contact is the prime responsibility.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Receive email and phone requests for price quotations, order changes, cancellations and other misc. requests made by the customer.
2. Upsell by offering other related products offered by GLASSWERKS
3. Generate price quotes immediately by phone
4. Follow-up with customers after quoting/giving estimate.
5. Call customers in your assigned territory each week to determine satisfaction
6. Accurately enter orders into proprietary software
7. Achieve and/or exceed personal, team and company monthly sales goals
8. Confirm accounts, pricing, delivery date and review drawings with customers and production personnel
9. Must provide phone coverage at the end of the day to complete last-minute rush orders.
Requirements & Skills:
· Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written,
· Strong problem-solving abilities
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
· Collaborate as a team with assigned partner and outside sales representative.
· Knowledge of MS office to include MS Word, Excel and Outlook and related software programs
· Time management skills and prioritization
· Goal setting
· Math skills (ie: metrics, fractions)
Physical Demands
· Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Occasional standing and walking, to assist customers.
· Fine Manipulation and Gross Manipulation
· Pushing/Pulling, Reaching, Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs. may be required.
· Hearing and speech to communicate clearly with team members or customers.
· Vision acuity to read documents, work with computer screens, or inspect drawings and orders.
