ROLE SUMMARY
The HRIS Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS), primarily UKG. This role ensures system integrity, optimizes People & Culture (P&C) processes, and delivers accurate reporting to support data-driven decision-making. The HRIS Manager partners with P&C, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Administration & Optimization: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all UKG modules (Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Talent Management). Lead configuration, implementation, and maintenance of UKG features and workflows. Manage system upgrades, testing, and change management communications.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure accuracy and security of P&C data through audits and governance best practices. Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations and labor laws. Act as primary contact for internal and external audits related to HR systems.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support P&C and leadership. Provide actionable insights for workforce planning and compliance reporting.
- Integration & Technical Support: Oversee integration between UKG and other enterprise systems. Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with UKG support and external vendors.
- Training & User Support: Train P&C staff and end users in UKG functionality and best practices. Develop user guides and provide ongoing support for system-related inquiries.
- Project Leadership: Lead P&C technology projects, including new module implementations and process automation. Collaborate with P&C and IT to identify opportunities for system enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, information systems, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of HRIS experience, including 3 years hands-on UKG experience.
- Proven ability to lead HR system implementations or major upgrades.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of HR processes, compliance requirements, and data governance.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with API-based integrations and middleware solutions.
- Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and validation.
- Exposure to other HR systems (Workday, Oracle, ADP, Paylocity) is a plus.
