Glazing Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Glazing Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating and managing glazing projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality glazing solutions on time and within budget. Duties

• Assist in planning and coordinating glazing projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement
• Review project blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate understanding of scope and specifications
• Support the project manager in developing detailed project schedules using Procore or similar construction management software
• Prepare and update project documentation, including RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and progress reports
• Collaborate with site teams to monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance on the job site
• Utilize Bluebeam for digital plan markups, document management, and communication with stakeholders
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project timelines
• Assist in cost estimating using HeavyBid or similar construction estimating tools to support budgeting efforts
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately for installation planning and problem-solving
• Support project meetings by preparing agendas, minutes, and action items for effective communication among all parties

Skills

• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of construction estimating, project scheduling, and contract management processes
• Hands-on experience with glazing or curtain wall systems is highly desirable
• Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and quality assurance practices
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret schematics effectively
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills for clear coordination with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Familiarity with civil engineering concepts like site layout using Civil 3D is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
