What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Glassboard, you will:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components using tools like OnShape or other CAD software.
- Conduct analysis, testing, and validation of designs to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Work closely with senior engineers to create prototypes and refine designs based on testing results.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and client meetings to gain insights into the product development lifecycle.
- Document designs, calculations, and processes to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the assembly and testing of hardware, providing hands-on support in our workshop.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration with electrical, firmware, and industrial design teams.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (junior or senior preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., OnShape, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills with familiarity in FEA tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or mechanical testing is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
