The Opportunity
We need skilled Construction Specialists who are local to the area. This position will report to the Construction Manager and offers an opportunity to join a strong, collaborative team at an early stage of growth, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the continued expansion of GRC.
Responsibilities
- Construction specialist is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sites
- Use various equipment, hand, and power tools
- Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines
- Remove, fill, or compact earth
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards.
- Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
- Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
- Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
- May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
- Ability to follow instructions
Required Qualifications
- A valid driver's license is required for most positions
- On-call and weekend availability
- Travel is Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction: 1 year
- Class A CDL
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus
Additional Information
Salary Range: $20 - $25 Hourly, based on experience
Schedule: Day Shift: Monday - Friday & Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday
Travel Requirements: 75%

Target Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offer
