We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our team in the design, installation, and maintenance of cutting-edge agricultural systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with expertise in modeling, drafting, and managing agricultural projects. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our systems run efficiently and meet industry standards while driving continuous improvement in our operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Project Design and Management:
- Lead the design and engineering of new greenhouse and irrigation systems, ensuring they meet operational and environmental requirements.
- Oversee modeling and drafting of new agricultural projects using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to produce detailed design plans and system layouts.
- Provide technical leadership in the development of project proposals, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess project scope and specifications, ensuring that all designs meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Perform feasibility studies and provide engineering solutions to address any project challenges.
- Installation and Equipment Management:
- Oversee the installation and setup of greenhouse structures and irrigation systems.
- Supervise the troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of irrigation and greenhouse equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.
- Manage the commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper installation, testing, and operational readiness.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all irrigation and greenhouse systems.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance on project management and technical solutions.
- Foster a collaborative and productive working environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality control, and environmental standards in all engineering activities.
- Sustainability and Efficiency:
- Advocate for sustainable design principles in all projects, focusing on water conservation, energy efficiency, and minimizing environmental impact.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies or techniques that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of greenhouse and irrigation systems.
- Vendor and Client Relations:
- Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure project success, including procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project status, technical challenges, and project deliverables.

- Thorough understanding of plant production process and developing/documenting SOP
- Ideal candidate is able to lead and provide technical direction to a diverse team across multiple locations
- Ability to break down complex challenges into strategic priorities, analyzing pros/cons, cost/benefits, and risks/opportunities to achieve optimal outcomes
- Navigates ambiguity and makes sound decisiond with imperfect information
- Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition and connects external insights with internal benchmarks and results
- Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong orientation towards profitability and cash flow management
- Identifies, articulates, and communicates ways to improve and promote operational efficiencies, and product quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related discipline is required
- 5 years of experience leading teams, prior cannabis experience is a plus
